Gloria frowned as she looked at the clock. Joe had been at the church for forty minutes now and she wondered what was taking him so long. Maybe she ought to walk over and join him. If Reverend Luke was trying to convince Joe to attend church more often she could help. She'd love it if Joe would join her on Sunday mornings. Then he could hear for himself what an effort she was making with the choir. Perhaps Reverend Luke could even persuade Joe to sing in the choir. They certainly needed a couple of good baritones.
Gloria picked up her purse and noticed the checkbook on the table. That settled it. Joe had left without the checkbook and he had gone to make a donation. She'd run it right over to him and save him the trip home to get it. It was a good excuse for finding out what was taking so long.
The church door was slightly ajar as Gloria opened it. She slipped noiselessly into the empty church and stopped to stare at the lovely statue they'd gotten for the altar last year. The church was peaceful and quiet inside and Gloria smiled sweetly as she glanced at the empty pews. The sunlight was streaming through the stained-glass windows and a flicker of white caught her eye. There was something laying on one of the pews. Some woman had probably dropped her handkerchief and left it behind.
Gloria moved silently toward the front of the church. She slipped into the pew and gasped with shock as she realized what the white object was. It was a bra!
A frown appeared on Gloria's face as she retrieved the undergarment. Then she heard a noise in the choir loft and whirled quickly around to gaze toward the balcony. There were sounds of smothered giggles coming from the loft and she felt a flash of righteous anger. Some wild teenagers must have sneaked into the church!
Gloria hurried to the stairs and slipped off her shoes. She was going to catch whoever it was and give them the fright of their lives. Imagine! Using the church for a cheap meeting place! Why they could be doing awful things up there and from the looks of it, they were!
Gloria smiled a smug little smile and slipped he bra into her purse. Perhaps she wouldn't say anything at all. She'd just find out which girl had lost her bra and go to her mother to return it. That ought to stop things like this in a hurry!
Gloria stepped carefully over the flowered skirt as she climbed the stairs. The nerve of these kids! There was a blouse at the top of the stairs and it looked vaguely familiar. Gloria knew she'd seen someone wearing it only a few days ago but she couldn't quite remember. She stopped at the top of the stairs and gasped in shock as the memory came back to her. It was Judith Wellington's blouse!
Gloria moved as softly as a mouse. She stooped behind the choir benches and her face burned as she listened to the squeals and moans of passion. She was almost afraid to peek out to see if it really was Judith. Surely it couldn't be. Judith and Reverend Luke couldn't be doing something this immoral in the church!
Gloria took a deep breath of air for courage. Then she raised her head over the top of the bench and gasped in horror. It was Judith! And the man she was with wasn't Reverend Luke at all. Judith was sucking obscenely on some man's cock but Gloria couldn't tell who the man was. All she could see was his back and she waited breathlessly for the disgusting man to turn around.
"Ooooooh, Jesus!" the man yelped. "I can't stand it… you're too hot!"
Gloria felt weak for a second, as if she were going to faint. That sounded like Joe's voice. The man turned then and looked straight at where Gloria was hiding. It was Joe! Judith was sucking Joe's cock!
Gloria stared straight into her husband's eyes. She could tell that he didn't see her at all. His eyes were glazed with lust and his fingers were busily plunging into Judith's squirming pussy. After a long, agonized moment, Gloria crawled noiselessly back to the top of the stairs. She managed to get part way down the steps and then she sat there trembling for a long moment, trying to shut her ears to the cries of lust that were echoing from the balcony.
"Oooooh, no!" she whispered weakly. "Ooooooh, no!"
It was a full minute before Gloria felt capable of moving. She crept down the stairs on quivering legs and picked up her purse. Then she leaned against the wall weakly, trying to gather her strength. Her numb mind refused to function and she gave up trying to decide what to do. She just knew that she had to get out of the church before Judith and Joe came down the stairs. She couldn't bear to face either one of them.
After a few moments Gloria was able to move again. She opened the heavy church doors and stepped out. She had intended to close them quietly but her nerveless fingers betrayed her and the doors closed with a resounding bang.
"Oh, my God!" Gloria moaned, hurrying down the steps. She ran down the sidewalk as fast as she could. There was only one thing in her mind. She had to get home as fast as possible.
By the time Gloria arrived at her front door, she was considerably calmer. Now she was beginning to feel a burst of righteous anger. If she was smart she'd leave Joe right now. This was the final straw! She knew about his sneaky little affairs on the side but this time she wouldn't stand for it. And Judith Wellington, of all people! She ought to be run out of town on a rail. She didn't deserve to be married to a wonderful man like Reverend Luke!
Gloria's face turned as white as a sheet as the full implications of the situation hit her. Reverend Luke had to know about this. Someone would have to tell him what his sinful wife was doing. She didn't want to be the one to tell him though. She just couldn't! It was bad enough knowing that Judith was involved with Joe. She wouldn't have the courage to tell Reverend Luke.
Gloria paced the floor miserably. What could she do? She had to tell someone what Judith was doing. Who could she turn to? Who could she trust?
When the answer came to her, Gloria sighed in relief. Of course… she'd go and talk to Matt Hendricks. He was head of the church board. Matt would know what to do about this terrible situation.
